BANGOR — An annual spring rite in Maine, the Kenduskeag Stream Canoe Race, is set for this weekend.

Bangor police remind motorists that Saturday’s event will cause some minor traffic delays and a detour at the Six Mile Falls Bridge on Broadway.

Inbound traffic on Broadway, or Route 15, will be diverted at Six Mile Falls onto the Finson Road to Ohio Street between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Signs will be posted to assist motorists.

Motorists are asked to use caution when approaching the bridge area, which will be crowded.
