PITTSTON — The Maine Strawberry Queen Pageant, held July 21-24 in conjunction with the Pittston Fair, has announced this year’s contestants.
LITTLE BLOSSOMS
Reese Bailey, 5, of Pittston, is the daughter of Clem and Suzanne Bailey and will be in kindergarten at Pittston Consolidated School. She likes shopping, playing outside, gardening, fixing hair, dress up and dolls. Her favorite food is peanut butter and fluff. Reese’s favorite movie is “Barbie and the Fairy Secret.” When she grows up she wants to be a gymnastic star on television.
Lily Belanger, 5, of Pittston, is the daughter of Hilary and Brain Belanger and will be in kindergarten at Pittston Consolidated School. She loves swimming, camping, riding her bike, riding horses, downhill skiing and dancing. Her dog’s name is Mara. She loves cheese pizza and chicken nuggets. Lily loves playing Guitar Hero and wants to be a rock star when she grows up.
Caleigh Crocker, 5, of Windsor, is the daughter of Betsy and Marc Crocker and will be in kindergarten at Windsor School. She has a cat named Henrey. She loves Hamburger Helper and Chinese food. Her favorite movie is “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.” Caleigh wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up because she is good with baby animals.
Kylee Huard, 5, of Augusta, is the daughter of Trisha and Jeff Huard and will be in kindergarten at Hussey School. Kylee likes to color, watch television and practice numbers and the alphabet. She loves to eat tacos. She has a pet named Coco. Her favorite game is Guess Who. Kylee’s favorite movie is “Strawberry Shortcake” and when she grows up she wants to be a police officer.
Deanndra Kalloch, 6, of Whitefield is the daughter of Lisa and Jeremy Kalloch. She plays basketball, t-ball, and loves to read and play with her sister, Ashley and her pets. She has a dog named Susie, cats named Simmo and Paws, chickens and roosters Ruby and Rosie. She loves macaroni and cheese and hot dogs. Her favorite thing is her camera. When she grows up, Deanndra wants to be a realtor like her mom Lisa.
Brooke Michaud, 5, of Chelsea is the daughter of Jennifer and Scott Michaud and will be in kindergarten at Chelsea School. She loves dance, playing with her sister and playing outside. She likes carrots, rice and ice cream. Brooke likes to play house with her sister. Her favorite movie is “Gnomeo and Juliet” and when she grows up she wants to be a model.
Meagan Michaud, 7, of Chelsea is the daughter of Jennifer and Scott Michaud and will be in second grade at Chelsea School. Meagan likes to dance, cheer, play soccer and play outside. Her favorite foods are cooked carrots, ice cream and Chinese. She loves to play the Wii and her favorite movie is “Kung Fu Panda.” When she grows up she wants to be teacher or nurse.
Madison Peaslee, 7, of Dresden is the daughter of Amy Peaslee and will be in the second grade at Dresden Elementary. She loves chicken nuggets. Madison loves reading, crafts, art, picking flowers and cooking. Her favorite game is charades and her favorite toy is a puppy. She loves the movie “Step Up.” When she grows up she wants to be an artist or a playdough maker.
Haley Webb, 5, of Whitefield, is the granddaughter of Jonathan and Judy Webb. She loves to scrapbook, cut coupons out and cook. Haley likes memory games and playing cards. She loves hot dogs, ice cream, yogurt and freeze pops. She loves the movie “Care Bears.” She wants to a veterinarian and a farmer when she grows up.
QUEENS
Kayla Beaudoin, 17, of Augusta, is the daughter of Mike and Marie Beaudoin and is a 2011 graduate of Cony High School. She loves four wheeling, dirt biking, walking outside, going to the beach and working. Her school activities were soccer and art club. She plans to get a job as a certified nursing assistant this fall, then go to college next year to become a registered nurse. She has volunteered at the Pittston Fair for years, the Pittston Mud Runs and Day of Caring for all four years of high school. She is sponsored by her mom, Norma Beaulieu and Gil’s Towing.
Madison Cutler, 15, of Pittston, is the daughter of Troy and Kathy Cutler. She will be in the 10th-grade at Gardiner Area High School. She likes to play sports, hang out with friends and do volunteer work. She plays soccer, basketball and lacrosse at school. She is also in the jazz band. Madison plans to go to the University of Maine at Orono to become an engineer, majoring in computer engineering and minoring in mechanical engineering. She has volunteered at Togus and at the Gardiner Fire Department’s Halloween party. Her sponsors include her parents, Village Store and Archery, Rock Ridge Farm and Townfair Tire.
Brittany Gilboy, 14, of Chelsea, is the daughter of Jennifer and Scott Michaud and will be in the ninth grade at Cony High School. Her interests include soccer, which she plays at school, and being with friends. She would like to go to college to be a veterinarian. Her sponsors are her family.
Victoria Tuttle, 16, of Farmingdale, is the daughter of Melissa Lahaye and Greg Tisdale and will be in the 11th grade at Gardiner Area High School. Her hobbies include hunting, fishing, mudding, shopping, music and swimming. Her school activities include cheering and soccer. She has volunteered at the William S. Cohen Community Center. She wants to get married, have two kids, a nice house and be a certified nursing assistant at Togus, and a cosmetologist. She is sponsored by family and friends.
