FARMINGDALE — The Firemen’s Association is looking for donations so it can continue the Flags in Farmingdale project that has been in place for two years.

Selectman Douglas Ebert, who is a volunteer firefighter with the town’s fire department, told the board that, because of road construction at the southern end of town, they did not raise flags in that area this summer.

Many of the flags, poles and brackets were damaged from wind storms that hit the area a few months ago, he said. That’s why the association is seeking donations. A complete kit — pole, flag and bracket — costs $44, Ebert said.

* Selectmen signed a contract to pay $1,474 to Ellis Construction of Farmingdale to install a cross culvert on Park Street.
