Winnie and Alex McPhedran return to their Readfield home Sunday after inspecting a clean-up effort under way in the family’s barn. Alex, 82, a practicing physician, has commenced storing items in the barn erected at the former Townsend Farm in 1913, while Winnie recovers from a recent illness. Winnie said her husband has made progress organizing the work bench in the barn.
