As we move to the new insurance copay as agreed to by the state and its representatives I was not surprised that the working class in Maine again gets it put to them so the insurance companies can reap the benefits.

Apparently this is how the promise of affordable insurance is being kept.

This “affordable insurance” will cost my household an extra $400 annually for my cost of prescriptions and will likely force people to opt out of medications because of the additional cost.

Add to this the 5 percent increase in premiums the state approved and it’s obvious what “affordable insurance” means to the politicians in Maine.

Since I saw no auditing or controls for welfare enacted in the last legislation, I’m wondering what (if anything) I got out of the session as a wage-earning taxpayer in Maine.
