I contacted Jordan Baker, the Transportation Department crew supervisor at the state garage in Solon, on a recent Sunday to tell him that the yield sign had been taken from the Route 16 side of the Bingham bridge and that the stop sign on the Pleasant Ridge side could not be seen because of the tree branches.

On Monday morning, Baker had a crew replace the yield sign and clear the branches away from the stop sign.

This example goes to show that not all complaints fall on deaf ears. I did not yell and complain; I just asked nicely that something be done. I greatly appreciate the fine and prompt job that was done.
