WISCASSET — Zack McNaughton and Kevin Zembroski both scored second half goals as the Hall-Dale High School boys soccer team rallied to a 2-1 win over Wiscasset in a Mountain Valley Conference game Tuesday.
Taylor Bryant had scored to give Wiscasset (5-5-2) a 1-0 lead earlier in the second half. Stephen Longfellow added an assist for Hall-Dale (10-1-1).
McNaughton and Sam Shepherd combined for seven saves for Hall-Dale..
Messalonskee 5, Skowhegan 0: Chris Hall scored two goals and Ryan Erskine recorded two assists as the Eagles rolled past the winless Indians in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game in Oakland.
Billy Blake, Peter Littlefield and Kyle Holmsen also scored for Messalonskee (8-2-2). Zach Sutherland and Jonah Webb made three saves apiece for the Eagles.
Chase Palmer made eight saves and Colton Albertson added two for Skowhegan (0-12-0).
Monmouth 8, Winthrop 1: Kyle Fletcher had three goals and three assists as the Mustangs cruised to an MVC win in Monmouth.
Nick Trenholm added three goals and two assists for Monmouth (6-6-0). Devin West chipped in with a goal and an assist, while Ethan Bickford had a goal and Kasey Smith made three saves.
Cameron MacMillan had 14 saves for Winthrop (0-11-1).
Girls soccer
Cony 3, Erskine 2: Mia Diplock scored on a direct kick with two minutes left to propel the Rams in South China.
Hailey Quirion scored twice to give Cony (7-6-0) a 2-0 lead. Melanie Guzman made six saves for the Rams.
Junior striker Bridget Humphrey scored both goals for the Eagles (5-5-2), with Baylee Doughty and Rachale Sage getting the assists. Hattie Welch made five saves for Erskine.
Messalonskee 2, Skowhegan 0: Sara Grenier scored an unassisted goal in each half as the Eagles beat the Indians in a KVAC A game in Skowhegan.
Shawna Oliver had four saves for Messalonskee (3-9-0), while Andrea Quirion had 10 saves for Skowhegan (0-12-0).
Cony 6, Skowhegan 0: Mia Diplock had a hat trick to lead the Rams to the KVAC A win in Augusta on Friday.
Josie Lee added a goal and three assists for Cony (6-6-0). Hayley Quirion also scored twice. Melanie Guzman and Shayna Perkins combined to make four saves.
Andrea Quirion stopped 22 shots for Skowhegan (0-11-0).
Field hockey
Winthrop 1, Boothbay 1, 2OT: The Ramblers outshot the Seahawks 22-8 but only scored once in a Mountain Valley Conference tie in Winthrop.
Lauren Kaiser scored in the first half for Winthrop (10-2-2). Sarah Caron tied it with a goal in the second half for Boothbay (6-7-1).
Alyssa Arsenault had six saves for the Ramblers.
Lisbon 4, Hall-Dale 0: Lindsey Whitney had two goals as the Greyhounds beat the Bulldogs in Lisbon.
Bailey Madore and Jessica Campbell also scored for Lisbon (12-2-0).
Hannah Perry had seven saves for Hall-Dale (2-11-1).
Nokomis 5, Gardiner 0: Marissa Shaw and Brittany Dunton both scored two goals as the Warriors beat the Tigers in a KVAC B game in Newport.
Leah Edmondson scored a goal, while Lindsay Whitney had two assists for Nokomis (13-0-1). Drew Graves and Brittany Dunton both had an assists. Kendra Underhill had two saves.
Emalee Couture had 11 saves for Gardiner (7-4-3).
