NEWPORT — Leah Edmondson posted her second hat trick in as many games against Oceanside and Nokomis defeated the Mariners, 6-0, in an Eastern B field hockey quarterfinal Wednesday afternoon.

Drew Graves added two goals and Marissa Shaw had one for top-ranked Nokomis, which improves to 14-0-1 and advances to play No. 5 Winslow in a semifinal, Saturday. Winslow defeated No. 4 Mt. View, 1-0, on Wednesday.

Edmondson also had three goals in a 3-1 Nokomis victory over Oceanside (9-7) in the regular season.
