I have had the privilege of serving the people of Anson on the board of selectmen for the last 14 years. It is only because of health reasons that I cannot continue. I thank those who have supported me.

Many people have asked who I would pick to replace me. My answer, without reservation, is Douglas Cahill.

Having served before, Cahill has the knowledge of town affairs. I would urge everyone who wants a well-running board to vote for Cahill on Nov. 8.
