I will vote for Dana Sennett on Nov. 8 and urge all my friends and allies to do the same.

I know nobody who has served the Waterville community longer or better.

I have known and worked with Dana since I got here 24 years ago. He is open, receptive and fair.

He was able to work with the previous mayor, who at times could be, shall we say, difficult. Dana and I did not agree on more than a few issues when I was a councilor, but he and I respected each other.

I have nothing against the other candidates. I just don’t see them as Dana’s equal in either experience or commitment. No candidate knows this city and its budget process better than Sennett.

The mayor doesn’t have a lot of power now. It’s more of an honorary position, an honor that Dana Sennett richly deserves.
