While reading Denis Thoet’s rant (column, Oct. 28) as to why Texas sucks a few thoughts immediately came to mind.
First, one thing that is worse than Texas is that all the hippies came back from Canada. Second, not only do liberals present a skewered idea of history, they regard it as fact. Third, no matter what the subject, the hate and disdain that fills their minds always seeps out and it is that stench that is most troubling.
Ignorance of the masses seems to be the platform on which liberals such as Thoet preach from. Santa Ana was a third rate dictator whose subjects were little more than slaves, and as far as I can tell Mexico’s situation has changed little, and if given the opportunity I could and would dismantle every statement that was presented as “true” in his column.
In the meantime, Thoet please take your hate of this country bottle it up and sell that snake oil in Vermont or on campus; idiocy seems to be at a premium in those places.
