Matt McClintock, a senior at Madison Area Memorial High School, has been named the 2011-12 Gatorade Maine Boys Cross Country Runner of the Year.

McClintock also won the award last year. This season, he won the Class C state title with the fastest time of any runner in any class. He also placed 15th at the National Foot Locker Cross Country Championships.

McClintock, who is first in his class at Madison, is planning on attending Purdue beginning this fall.
