BANGOR — Anna Mackenzie and Marissa Shaw each had 14 points as Nokomis held off Medomak, 58-51, in an Eastern B quarterfinal Saturday morning at the Bangor Auditorium.

Nokomis, the No. 2 seed, had a 31-22 edge in rebounds, and Shaw and Mackenzie consistently followed up missed shots with weakside offensive rebounds for layups.

Alanna Vose had 24 points for Medomak. Vose had to sit for 2 minutes, 26 seconds in the fourth quarter after banging her right elbow. During that time, Nokomis extended its lead from 46-38 to 52-38.
