Gov. Paul LePage isn’t uncovering wrongs from the previous administration, he’s creating them.

According to all the articles I read, the MaineCare fiasco went like this:

A new computer program was being instituted to merge and edge out the old one in order to be up to federal standards in regards to MaineCare reconciliations. LePage took office and in his first month didn’t want to pander to special interests; the Maine Hospital Association squeaked the loudest (I can’t remember if it is special interest or not) and LePage paid what his administration thought was a past-due amount owed to health care providers.

In essence, funds were paid outside the federal reconciliation standards being put in place at the time; folks this is called mismanagement of public dollars. Where are all the independent auditors these days?

This is my suggestion, with the new rule LePage is trying to institute concerning no pension for wrongdoing, we have the opportunity to impeach now; cut our losses and save all that pension money. Any takers?
