The first time we met Dana Hernandez, who is running for Senate District 25, we were impressed with her ease and confidence. It is this same positive and optimistic attitude she envisions for the state of Maine, which prompts us to wholeheartedly support her.
Hernandez knows we cannot wait until Maine children enter kindergarten each year already behind. Our education system must include early childhood. We support her election to the Senate because of her unwavering sense of justice and fairness.
It is gratifying to hear a person running for office to speak out so clearly and candidly about marriage equality and state the reasons why. Hernandez supports organizations that support, educate and advocate for equality for all people, organizations like PFLAG, (Parents, Friends of Lesbians and Gays). This is very gratifying for us as parents of a gay daughter. We need Hernandez in the Maine Senate.
