AUGUSTA — Artisan cheese makers around Maine are opening their doors to the public.
The Maine Cheese Guild’s annual Open Creamery Day takes place Sunday, when people can talk with cheese makers in their creameries, meet their animals and learn the stories behind the 150 artisanal cheeses that are made in Maine.
In all, 19 cheese makers are participating.
