I have known Scott Davis for more than 20 years.
Our children grew up together, and, like many adults, we met through their activities at school and while coaching them.
Davis is a highly respected leader and volunteer in our community.
When I ran for state representative for Winthrop and Readfield eight years ago, the first filing signature I obtained was from Scott Davis.
It has been a tradition every election year since then.
I was pleased to return the favor this year, being the first to sign his filing papers.
I am pleased that Scott, a Republican, has decided to run for the open House District 82 seat, representing Winthrop and Readfield.
He is a clear thinker, a leader, a consensus builder and a problem solver. He has my full support.
