With the fall season in full swing and lots of activities going on in the community, I would like to make others aware of information that was given to me recently that I hadn’t thought about before.

Whenever children are gathered in one place, i.e., community spirit night, football games, trick-or-treating, etc., there is a very good possibility that area sexual offenders will be there, too.

These events are publicized on the radio and in the newspaper. Predators look for these opportunities.

I urge parents to stay with and keep an eye on their children. Don’t drop them off and think they’ll always be safe.
