SKOWHEGAN — The 5th annual Simpson Memorial Scramble is set for Saturday at Loons Cove Golf Course, U. S. Route 201.

Two-person teams will play a scramble format with trophies awarded to the first three places in both the gross and net scores using the Calloway scoring system. There will be closest-to-the pin awards, a putting competition, and a chance to win a new Ford vehicle by scoring a hole in one, sponsored by Hight’s Ford Mercury.

Feed The Need is a registered, non-profit LLC based at 369 Molunkus Road, in Cornville, and is dedicated to assisting people in Somerset County with dignity and respect. It is based on helping with the basic needs related to home, health and hunger. Proceeds from this year’s tournament will be divided among the local food pantries in Somerset County.

The cost is $25 for each participant for all activities and a mulligan for both the front and back nine for a donation of a non-perishable food item at time of registration.
