MONMOUTH

At 5:47 a.m., Ryan Charles Harris, 20, of Winthrop, was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault in connection with an incident on Main Street. Monmouth Police Chief Kevin Mulherin said Harris is charged with hitting another man in the head with a club. The victim required stitches but was not seriously injured, Mulherin said. Winthrop police arrested Harris at his Winthrop Center Road home. The investigation is ongoing.
