BLUE HILL — The Bagaduce Music Lending Library seeks entries for its annual Young Composers’ Competition.
All Maine students high school age and younger who have an interest in composing original music are eligible for the competition. All musical styles from classical to rock and anything in between are welcome.
Entries are grouped by age: category I is for students 13 and younger and category II is for students 14 years old through high school. Three cash prizes — $200, $125, and $75 — are awarded in each age group. All participants receive a Certificate of Award and a written critique of their composition from a panel of expert judges.
