WATERVILLE — Spectrum Generations Muskie Center, 38 Gold St., will host an elder abuse panel discussion followed by a question and answer session from 10 a.m. to noon Friday.
The panel will consist of a group of elder abuse experts, including Mark Nale, attorney at law, who specializes in Maine Elder Law; Trish Thorsen from the Ombudsman Program; Nan Bell from Family Violence; Shannon Coro from Lakewood & Inland Hospital; Judy Shaw from the Maine Council of Elder Abuse and Prevention Office of Securities; Mary Nicholas, Aging and Disabilities Counselor from Spectrum Generations; and Vicki LaCasse from New Dimensions Federal Credit Union.
Each panelist will give a description of his or her job as it pertains to Elder Abuse as well as some tips and information on how to recognize abuse and how to report it. The discussion will then be opened to Q&A with the audience.
