The Public Utilities Commission ruling on the CMP rate increase has been finalized, with the overall requested rate increase being reduced by $17 million.
Any rate increase is hard to swallow, especially for residents on a fixed income, but this negotiated reduction in cost will take a smaller bite out of our pockets.
A small win is still a win, thanks in great part to the hard advocacy work done on this issue by AARP-Maine on behalf of all Mainers 50 years old and older and their families. Thanks AARP-Maine for having our backs.
