As the Ebola crisis continues to figure prominently in the news, the University of Maine at Farmington will hold a public roundtable discussion on the subject Friday.
Six UMF faculty experts will discuss the social, economic and political implications of the epidemic and the threat it poses on a local and global scale, according to a UMF news release.
The event will be held from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. in room CR 123 at the UMF Olsen Student Center.
Experts include Ali Geshnizjani, on community health; Sheena Bunnell, on health policy; Cathleen McAnneny, on medical geography; Nicole Kellett, on anthropology; Linda Beck, on African politics; and Scott Erb, on international relations.
