I have known Sen. Roger Katz, R-Augusta, District 15, for more than 50 years, and I would trust him with my most valuable possessions and that includes my vote.

In this rocky political climate of punch and counterpunch, it’s reassuring to know that Roger tries very hard to keep peace in the sandbox. Roger has taken positions that have given heartburn to some of his Republican counterparts but Roger has said, “I’m 65 years old, and I’m going to vote for what my conscience dictates while making sure it’s in the best interest of Maine and its people.”

It will be a pleasure to vote for Roger, much like it was for voting for his father, Bennett.
