As a U.S. Army veteran of Afghanistan, it is important to me that elected officials support legislation for veterans so we can successfully return to civilian life.

I’m voting to re-elect Sen. Colleen Lachowicz, D-Waterville, for state Senate District 16 because she supports Medicaid expansion, which would give an additional 70,000 Mainers, including 3,000 veterans, access to health care. Colleen also supported successful legislation for veterans courts.

Colleen listens to and understands the unique difficulty I and other veterans face returning to civilian life and knows it is important to address these difficulties so we can be successful as civilians.
