What does it take to get the city or gas company to fix the bad roads in Augusta, including Cony Road, both north and south. There must be other ones too.
I have called and called the city department and they keep saying, “We’ll look into it.” When?
I wish someone from the city or gas company would come out early in the morning (I’ll even serve them coffee and doughnuts) to hear what we hear every day from morning to night with no let up. It is not funny, especially from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. when a person is trying to sleep.
It is worse when the trucks don’t have a load; the noise scares me right out of my skin (not funny).
For four or five years now, we have put up with trucks hauling dirt, rocks and gravel and dealing with all the dust. Now we have this noise.
I would think the city would want better roads for the school buses, but since they lease the buses from O’Connor, it has all the repair bills.
And they don’t want people leaving Maine. What do we have to offer? Nothing except our good summer weather.
