It’s been privilege to work with Rep. Ann Dorney, D-Norridgewock, for the past two years in the Legislature and on the Health and Human Services Committee, which I co-chair. The State House is a place where you need to know what you stand for as well as how to work with people with different viewpoints. That describes Ann to a “T.”
Ann has worked as a family doctor for 30 years, and has seen the successes and challenges of our health care system up close. Her expertise, insight and direct, no-nonsense approach were invaluable as our committee tackled serious issues like drug abuse, caring for seniors and protecting Maine’s most vulnerable citizens. She works tirelessly for smart solutions, accountability and wise use of taxpayer dollars.
It’s not just Ann’s constituents who are well-served by this talented and dedicated lawmaker, but the people of Maine as whole.
