I first met Rachel Sukeforth, D-Litchfield, two years ago when she knocked on my door in Litchfield as she campaigned for state House District 80 seat (Litchfield, Wales, Monmouth) on the Democratic ticket. Her drive to serve her neighbors and her dedication to bringing about positive change at the local level impressed me. She’s a bright, motivated, well-educated young woman who has chosen to settle right here in rural Maine in the town she’s lived in her whole life.

This year, Sukeforth is back to knocking on doors, listening to her neighbor’s concerns and taking action when possible as if she were already their elected representative. In 2012, Rachel Sukeforth lost the election by a mere four votes. I hope you’ll join me in making sure we vote her into office this November. We’ll be fortunate to have her representing us in Augusta.
