I’m sorry to say that some Maine voters are cowards. Yes, cowards.

If they’ve learned about the gubernatorial candidates by reading the in-depth, unbiased articles that ran in the newspapers (and are now online) and if they’ve attended or listened to the debates, they’re well-informed voters. They know that one of the candidates is a close-minded bully and another is the consummate politician who has spent the last 34 years deep in party politics.

They also know that the third candidate is neither a bully nor indebted to a party or special-interest PACs. Independent candidate Eliot Cutler has specific plans, the experience, the smarts, and the imagination to work for the greater good. He knows how to improve job growth and international trade, protect our environment, and use limited tax dollars wisely.

So come on, people — be brave and vote for the best man for the job. Vote for Cutler.
