Nov. 4 is a day when we all get a chance to participate in our democracy by voting and vote for the people who best represent our community and state.

I’m looking forward to voting for Sen. Colleen Lachowicz, D-Waterville, who has worked hard for the people of District 16. When an out of state company, CTS, took over the contact to provide public transportation in central Maine and totally screwed it up, Colleen was there to put pressure on DHHS cancel the contract and authored a bill to follow Vermont’s lead to provide a system that works.

Colleen fought to enact the Maine Seed Capital Tax Credit program, which provides a tax credit to people who invest in Maine’s small businesses. As a healthcare worker who works directly with children, she knows the importance of what a fully funded Head Start program can do for our kids.

See you Nov. 4.
