AUGUSTA — The Maine Principals’ Association announced Monday that due to poor weather in the forecast the schedule for this week’s field hockey playoffs has been revised.

Schools will have until Saturday — which was originally supposed to be the date of the semifinal contests — to complete regional quarterfinal games. The release also noted that schools will not be allowed to schedule games on Tuesday due to a shortage of officials.

As a result, the regional semifinal matches have been moved to Tuesday, Oct. 28, while the regional championships will be played Thursday, Oct. 30, at Scarborough High School for the West and Hampden Academy for the East.
