I’m writing to urge my friends and neighbors in Hallowell, Manchester and West Gardiner to vote for Charlotte Warren, a Democrat from Hallowell, for state representative on Nov. 4.

I am supporting Charlotte for many reasons but because of the letter’s word limit, I will tell you only one: Charlotte brings people together to get things done. As a teacher and social worker, Charlotte Warren has the training, skill and experience we need in Augusta. She listens, communicates clearly and works to find compromise.

As a lifelong Hallowell resident and public health professional, I have seen Charlotte’s abilities firsthand. Charlotte has served on Hallowell’s Planning Board, City Council and as our city’s mayor.

We need lawmakers who can work well with others — regardless of politics — for our shared benefit. I have complete confidence that Charlotte Warren has the experience and will serve all of us well as our legislative representative.
