David Bustin, Democratic candidate for the state Senate in District 14, understands that many retired folks are having a hard time these days. Prices of most everything are rising and incomes remain stagnant. Further, seniors are worried about rising property taxes and whether they will be able to stay in their homes.
Bustin believes the state Legislature should pass adequate revenue sharing on to our cities and towns to help avoid property tax increases next year. That would be one thing seniors wouldn’t have to worry about.
David Bustin is against attempts to cut back retiree benefits, which have been earned over our working years — something that seems to be happening a lot these days.
As retirees, we’ve all worked hard supporting our families and communities. We need strong voices like Dave Bustin in the state Senate. I hope other retirees will join me in voting Dave Bustin on Nov. 4.
