I have heard it said that people get the government they deserve. How does one get the government that one wants?

By voting for the candidates that tell you they will work for the kind you want. But what kind of government do you want?

I want government that works at least as well for the 99 percent as for the 1 percent. So I vote for candidates who promise to work for social justice.

The same justice for the 1 percent as for the 99 percent; to go to jail for theft and other crimes.

A decent retirement income for old fogies like me and my spouse.

Affordable health care for my children.

Good schools that are affordable for my grandchildren.

I will vote for the progressives: Mike Michaud, Shenna Bellows, Chellie Pingree, Emily Cain, Charlotte Warren and David Bustin and for labor unions.
