Monica Castellanos has more than 20 years of experience in the public and private sector that would make her a standout legislator and an effective, new voice for Augusta from Day 1.
She is an accomplished small businesswoman with statewide experience bringing people together on economic development projects. She is an articulate and knowledgeable advocate for working families, senior citizens and veterans, based on more than eight years as a top adviser and statewide spokesperson for Congressman Mike Michaud.
Most importantly, I know Monica will be a reliable vote for expanding women’s access to preventative health care and expanding access to health care for 70,000 Mainers. And she will be a strong advocate for our public schools, which is why she earned the endorsement of Maine’s largest education organization, the Maine Education Association. As House Speaker, I know Augusta would have an outstanding, effective new state representative in Monica Castellanos.
