I am writing to endorse Democrat Monica Castellanos as our next state representative from Augusta. I work in public health, and I have a strong interest in health policy.

I visited the State House in March to express my support of the expansion of MaineCare to cover more than 60,000 of our neighbors using federal funds, as every other New England state has done. Despite my interest and support for this public health policy, MaineCare expansion did not pass.

For this reason and others, I am calling for changes in Augusta’s representation to assure future policies will pass to improve public health.

I have known Monica for many years and she is a passionate advocate for expanding access to affordable health care and improving our neighborhood. Join me in choosing Monica, for Augusta and public health.
