Regarding Mike Byron’s recent letter of claims against Bill Dowling — Dowling has in the past and will in the future recuse himself of his involvement with Dirigo Management while mayor, thus avoiding any conflict. This letter was much ado about nothing yet coincidently acting as a spoiler for Dave Rollins.

Don Roberts, a Kennebec Journal columnist, who up until recently worked for Rollins campaign, is chummy with Byron, and in my opinion the three are working together to tarnish Dowling’s reputation. Roberts previously suggested this same mudslinging to Rollins’ committee, and coincidently Byron decides there is a conflict.
