Monica Castellanos, a Democrat from Augusta, will be an absolutely terrific state representative for Augusta (District 86). I have known Monica for almost 15 years, and she has always been a dynamic woman and very involved in the Augusta community.
Monica and I served together on the board of directors for the Kennebec Valley Humane Society. She is smart, dedicated and a very effective member of that board. Monica has earned the respect of a very diverse group of board members because of both her passion for helping care for animals and for her serious, professional contributions to the organization.
As a small business woman, her relationships with leaders in the Augusta and broader Maine business community have helped strengthen the organization.
As a woman of integrity who is not afraid to stand up for what she believes is right, Monica will be a great representative.
