BOSTON — Cassidy Elizabeth Bane was named to the 2014 fall semester dean’s list at UMass Boston. Bane is a junior majoring in theater with a minor in dance. She is a 2012 graduate of Gardiner High School. She performed the part of Essie in the schools fall production of “You Can’t Take It With You.” She received a Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival Region 1 Award for costume construction.

She is the daughter of Bobbie Davis-Bane, of West Gardiner, and Jeffrey Bane, of Michigan and the granddaughter of Nancy and Norman Davis, of West Gardiner, John Bane, of Chapel Hill, N.C., and Kathy and Frank Newton, of Lawton, Mich.
