WILTON — Local and county police responded early Wednesday to a report of shots fired on the Pond Road to find that a person had committed suicide.

Wilton Police Officer Brian Lynch said police responded about 7:15 a.m. to the scene. He said nothing is suspicious about the death, and police are not identifying the person.

Police from Jay, Farmington and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office also responded.
