AUGUSTA — Capital Area Technical Center has announced its March Students of the Month.

Caroline Blanchard is a junior from Hall-Dale High School enrolled in the graphic design and printing program. Caroline has found the program has helped her in all areas of her life, especially the time management piece, according to a news release from the center. When Caroline completes the assignments in the program, she is personally gratified in seeing the results of her work. She admits graphic design was not what she thought it would be like, the work can be tedious and very time-consuming. Caroline’s instructor Jessica Douin said, “Caroline is deserving of recognition because of the growth she has had this year. She is hard-working and able to pace herself in completing projects in a timely manner,” in the release. Caroline plans do her Hall-Dale senior capstone project next year exploring graphic design in the media.

Spencer Diou-Cass is a junior from Maranacook Community High School enrolled in the electrical technology program. Spencer has enjoyed meeting students at CATC from seven other high schools. Through the electrical technology program, Spencer has earned his Occupational Safety and Health Administration 10-hour card and obtained his State of Maine Electrical Helper’s License, according to the release. Spencer’s instructor, Chip Eastman said, “Spencer is a great student. He will go far in the electrical field,” in the release. Spencer plans to return to the electrical technology program for his senior year. His long-term goal is to become an electrical architect.
