GARDINER — Money Matters: Planning for Retirement is a free workshop set for 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 30, at Gardiner High School.

This workshop will address the concerns of the pre-retiree and will focus on creating a realistic financial plan.

The program, sponsored by Gardiner Adult Education, will define risk tolerance, as well as what can be expected from pensions, life insurance, and other defined benefits including social security. Income protection issues, protection against scams and basic investment concepts wil also be discussed.
