The Racket Factory will perform a benefit concert for the Farmington Grange at 7 p.m. Friday, May 1, at the Grange, Bridge Street in West Farmington. The program will be an eclectic mix of songs from a variety of genres interspersed with instrumental fiddle tunes from the New England, French Canadian, Scandinavian, Celtic and Old Time traditions, according to a news release from the Grange.

The musical evening will begin with a set by Ragged Robin with Ruth Hill, local singer sing-writer, joined by Wendy Oakley and Washburn.

Tickets cost $8 in advance, and are available at the Winter Farmer’s Market from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 25, in the Grange, or call 778-2932. The tickets will cost $10 at the door.

Proceeds will be used for hall improvements including refinishing the main floor, according to the release.
