AUGUSTA — A Waterville man was sentenced to 30 months in prison after pleading guilty to domestic violence assault in an incident in which he knocked out one of the victim’s teeth and fractured a second one, leaving her bloodied, and then helped carry her bags to another man’s car when he responded to her call for help.
Luke Brandon Park, 34, was sentenced to 30 months in prison for the Sept. 24, 2014, assault, which occurred at Park’s mother’s home in Winslow. He also was ordered to pay $5,000 restitution.
The woman, 21 at the time of the incident, previously had had a two-month relationship with Park, according to information provided at a court hearing in late January, shortly before Park was scheduled to have a jury trial on the charge. Instead, he pleaded guilty.
Police investigating the incident reported that Park initially denied having had recent contact with the woman and expressed no concern for the victim.
Park has eight prior convictions for assault.
