BOSTON — Rebecca Young scored three goals and three assists to lead the University of Maine at Farmington to a 13-1 field hockey win at Wheelock College on Sunday.
Jenessa Talarico also scored three goals for the Beavers (2-0), who led 8-0 at the half.
Emmah Spahr scored a pair of goals for UMF. Patty Smith made two saves for the win. Katie Frade scored for Wheelock (1-2).
BRIDGEWATER STATE 1, THOMAS 0: Tori O’Day’s second-half goal was the difference in a non-conference game in Bridgewater, Mass.
O’Day scored off a rebound for Bridgewater (2-0). Abbie Charrier made six saves for Thomas (1-2).

UNE 5, UMF 0: Jessica Meader scored a breakway goal early in the first half to start a four-goal first half for the Nor’easters, who took the non-conference win in Farmington.
Brionne Turcotte, Kara Hecker and Becca Murphy also scored first half goals for UNE (2-0). Taylor Usko scored in the second half for the Nor’easters. Three goalies combined for the shutout.
Sam Hatch made seven saves for the Beavers (0-1).
UNITY 6, VERMONT TECH 1: Mariza Gionfriddo scored three goals to lead the Rams to the win in Randolph, Vt.
Devon Funt scored a pair of goals for Unity (2-1). Ashia Prior made four saves for the win.
Kaitlyn Newton scored for Vermont Tech (0-4).
NORTHEASTERN 3, MAINE 0: Hannah Lopicculo scored a pair of goals to lead the Huskies over the Black Bears in Orono.
Kayla Cappuzzo also scored for Northeastern (4-1). Nathalie Nidtech made one save for the shutout win. Maine (3-2) keeper Claudia Dube-Trempe made two saves.

VERMONT TECH 6, UNITY 1: Phillip Hepburn and Jonquin Currier-Cubero each scored two goals to lead Vermont Tech to the win in Randolph, Vt.
Derrick Bates scored for Unity (0-3). Mackenzie Michaud made five saves for the Rams.
