Saturday, a 2010 Dodge Avenger being driven north on Rockland Road by a 57-year-old Rockland man hit a 1997 Chevrolet Blazer being driven by a 34-year-old Palermo woman the Avenger had been following. Police said the crash occurred when the Blazer came to a stop and signaled for a left turn but suddenly turned right into a parking lot as the Avenger was passing on the right. The Avenger was unable to stop before hitting the Blazer.
