King is a Maine native who lives in upstate New York. He is the son of Stephen and Tabitha King. He spoke to 40 people in the Stephen King Foundation meeting room, which was part of the Bailey Library’s recent $1 million expansion. The King Foundation granted $50,000 toward the Winthrop project.

The Winthrop Library Foundation is accepting donations to pay off bonds that helped finance the project. People can send tax-deductible donations to: Winthrop Library Foundation, P.O. Box 580, Winthrop, ME 04364.
