FARMINGTON – Three vehicles on High Street in Farmington were broken into Thursday night, forcibly entered via smashed driver’s side windows, Farmington Police Chief Jack Peck said.
The three vehicles in the parking lot of an apartment building at 242 High St. were locked when. Farmington Police received the report Friday morning when the owners went to their cars and saw the broken windows.
“Smash and grab is unusual for us,” Peck said. “We usually see most car robberies occur when the vehicle is left unlocked.”
Peck said that little was stolen from the vehicles, with one owner reporting that only $2 in change was stolen.
Farmington police have no suspects or witnesses and are asking anyone with possible information to contact the department.
