WINTHROP — Fiddlocity2, a family-friendly fiddle show, is set for 3 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at Winthrop United Methodist Church, 58 Main St.

The family-friendly show features traditional Canadian and celtic tunes. The three young fiddlers, Owen Kennedy, of Winthrop, and Joshua and Benjamin Rosentha, of Damariscotta, will present their debut performance. Cindy Larock and Don Cunningham of The Maine Folque Co-op will provide back-up for a few sets, adding guitar, mandolin and spoons.

Joshua, Owen and Benjamin have performed at The American Folk Festival in Bangor, the Franco Center in Lewiston, Governor’s Restaurants, or the Gardiner Farmers’ Market. The boys are involved with a number of Maine ensembles, including the Pineland Fiddlers and the Maine Folque Co-op, and have performed with Katie Newell, Ellen Gawler and Greg Boardman.

The boys are raising money to attend Maine Fiddle Camp and New England Suzuki Institute this summer. Suggested donations are $3 per person or $10 per family.
